Leslie & Sue's Fabulous Bruin!

Bruin shares his life with Leslie Pike and Sue Rodgers of Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland.

Bruin is a large, majestic boy with heavy bone and a gorgeous, broad, masculine head.  He has lovely expressive eyes, strong well-set ears, and a broad muzzle.  He has a deep, broad chest and a perfect saber tail.  His coat is very thick and luxurious; a true working Shepherd's coat.
 
Bruin, otherwise known as Big Love, is a true gentleman.  He has a medium soft temperament.  He is a very good watch dog, but welcomes visitors with a wildly wagging tail.  He loves all people.  He is particularly gentle with children, especially toddlers. 

He is very calm and tolerant of cats, rabbits, and other small animals.  He loves to play with other dogs, even other intact males.  He is playful outside and when play is initiated by his people, but settles well in the house.  He is a couch potato indoors.  He has moderate tug and retrieve drive.
 
Bruin was an amazingly easy puppy to raise.  He was housetrained, had mastered several obedience commands, and was trustworthy out of his kennel by 12 weeks of age.  He required very little correction and excelled at training with positive motivation.

He walks politely on a leash and achieved his Canine Good Neighbour (the Canadian equivalent of the CGC) at the tender age of 11 months!
